So recently I've been thinking about purchasing a headphone or headset for everyday use( I will be Gaming for the most part and I love to listen to music while I work.)

I have some trouble looking for something to fit my needs.  As of right now my budget is about $50 but I can go up a little if there is major improvement.

I already have a microphone:

https://www.amazon.com/Tonor-Professional-Condenser-Microphone-Computer/dp/B00PZMP3Z0 (for anyone interested, cheap but works fine)

But maybe getting a clip-on mic would be better? such as a Mod Mic.

Now here is the main issue, Should I buy a 'gaming' headset such as the HyperX Cloud Stinger: https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Stinger-Nintendo-HX-HSCS-BK-NA/dp/B01L2ZRYVE/ref=pd_sbs_147_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01L2ZRYVE&pd_rd_r=THRN7FMXQ08HB9HVPS7V&pd_rd_w=34XH8&pd_rd_wg=bi5wv&psc=1&refRID=THRN7FMXQ08HB9HVPS7V

Or should I go with a audiophile headphone such as the AKG M220 that I found on massdrop: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-akg-m220-pro-headphones

I feel that immersion is a core part when listening to anything so in this aspect I think that having a wider sound stage would be better.

and when i listen to music I don't really like bass too much since I feel that it overwhelms the mids and highs. A balanced or 'brighter' headphones would be nice since I like to listen to the strong vocals and detail.

I would love to hear feedback and recommendations from you guys and if you have questions for me Please feel free to ask.

(I Play Overwatch,Rainbow Six Siege, League Of Legends, and Dota 2 for anyone wondering)

:D!Thanks for reading!:D

I never heard of that AKG headphone and idk how it perform.

As for $50 headphone the superlux HD668B and Corsair HS50 (headset) received a good reviews in a lot of places.

Stinger is a good headset according to hardwarecanucks but it feels cheap because of 100% plastic material.

The HS50 has better build quality it is also semi open so you'll have wider sound stages the same goes for HD668B.

I find myself always buying cheap headphones when they're on sale, and so far the best set of cans I've bought have been the JBL Syncros S300 from Newegg for $30 on sale.

All metal build, memory foam cups, powerful bass, great highs, and comfortable to wear.

Sadly I don't seem to see them there anymore.

Personally, I prefer headphones with a seperate microphone. I have a Neewer NW700 condenser microphone that I use when I need to communicate, otherwise I'm usually just wearing headphones for media consumption.
