Where does a GPU get it's power from PCIe or 6pin?

The PCIe slot can provide up to 75 watts of power.  For cards that need more than 75 watts, additional power connectors are required.

Hi,

I'm wondering where does the gpu get it's power from? Is it from the connection with the mobo or the 6 pin connector from PSU?

Usually from the PSU and maybe a little from mobo connection, but there are some models like 1050s that have only need the mobo connection. Also some gpus use 8 pins and combination of 8 and 6.

Most graphics cards receive power from cables connected to a psu, and if your gpu has a 6 pin, it’s going to need to be powered by the 6 pin.

Depends. A low power GPU that uses less than 75W of power, can be powered only by the PCIe slot. More powerful cards will need supplementary power through the power connectors.
