Sleeper PC - Pentium 3 to G4560

cpug514

Saw an ad for old pcs locally and fell in love with this old retro case. Gutted it and decided to try my hand at making a sleeper PC. To mitigate the financial impact some pieces were bought used.

parts

Mobo - ASUS PRIME B250-PLUS (new)

Ram - GSkill 2400mhz 16GB 2x8 (used)

CPU - Intel G4560

GPU - Evga GTX 1050ti 4GB Supeclocked (Used)

PSU - EVGA 500BQ Semi-modular (new)

LG DVD Drive White - Used and hard to find a SATA one

Linksys PCI Wifi - Free

SSD - 240 GB Crucial (NOS)

USB 3 Front Bay (new)

Fans - 2x Noctua NF-A8 PWM 80mm (new)

Airflow was a worry so I bought these Noctua fans and made the choice to get a semi modular PSU for easier airflow. It runs great and was a fun project!

Cool look! Did the mobo mount in fine or did you have to mess around with it?

Original board was an atx as well so it fit perfectly. Even sold the original hardware to a retro gamer so it made this all the better
