GTX 1080 With Ryzen 1600

I'm looking to upgrade my gaming pc to reach above 60fps on most games maxed out in 1080p is the GTX 1080 With the Ryzen 1600 a good combination? Or shall I look at somthing else ?

But can I go further with it, just to make sure I never go under 60fps with the cpu ( I want to stick with Ryzen cpu's)

A 1080 and a Ryzen 5 1600 should push 120+ FPS in basically all games at very high or ultra settings.
