Hello

i am kinda new here so hello again

i got this gl502vm 7th gen laptop and its amazing even with crippled cooler that i did break unintentionally

so as in the picture the number 1 is missed in the number 2 so it cant make a full contact with the cpu making core1 hotter than the others and uneven cooling

the quastion here is anybody have any idea how to fix this one  ? and mods or type of screws that would help ?

thank you in advance

Screw one (in the yellow circle) does seem to be less important. While the screw nr 2 (to the CPU cooler) is kinda important. Try to mix and match. (or look for other screws which you might be able to use)

It's not like new, but I asume you are going for functionality.

I would take the battery out before making any metal to metal contact with a screw.

Magical electrical pixies tend to get trapped inside electronics. Best practice is to wait 15 minutes. (capasitors will usually be empty by then) It "usually" also helps to turn something on, with no power going to it.

Dafuq @TheGlenlivet. Screws go trough the board, not in the board itself. I'd call it zero risk of damaging the board by trying this other screw.

I think what he meant was causing the board to flex to much by putting to much pressure on it.

it wont work without the standoff (handler) for the screw.. and here where the ideas need to come

If you use the bracket arm as a spring, you don't have to tighten/bend it completely. When it feels secure, it probably is. If you still want some spacers, get some washers.

Get a size that looks like the origional. Can be metal, as long as it's not too wide. (there is an area surrounding the hole, which should be an safe area)

If you don't like metal: there are also plastic washers. Don't know how that material is called, but they also come in all shapes and sizes. Just look for a size that looks most like the origional ones.
