Gaming CPU Needed

Ok so I am wondering. What company is best for gaming. Some people say Intel and some people say Amd. Iv'e already picked out the parts to my pc with an Intel chip but I still can't decide. I'm looking for the best gaming performace with the ability to recording videos and 1080p and do very basic video editing. I do think Intel would be better for my use case but I want to know what you guys think. I also want to game normally at 1440p and 144hz when i'm not recording. Thank you :)

Ps: If my fans or anything don't match i'm working on it.

Depends on the chip vs chip. Top end it's Intel though.

Also why the AX860i, PRIME Platinum or EVGA P2 would be better, newer platform.

Try something like this. You can always add an external HDD if 4Tb is too small, or get a bigger case that can hold more drives(Corsair 750D for example).

You have to take 2 away I believe.

Buy higher capacity drives. An 8TB drives of the same will cost you less than 2 4TB drives of the same. Unless you're specifically buying it to raid it.

The 8700K is the fastest gaming CPU. Now you do realize you have too many drives right? You have to take 2 away I believe.

It has 6 Sata ports and an M.2 slot. He's fine.

Get a bigger PSU than 550W, overclocked an 8700K and 1080 ti can draw some power. Go with at least 650W

You are right, he only needs to loose one, because one disables with the M.2 is used.

Way too many drives. No real reason for SSD RAID if you're not running a server or NAS that has to run at high speeds. No real reason to have that many fans. 24" is good enough for a second monitor, feel free to throw another one on if you wish. Also no reason for you to use a PCIe WLAN adapter on a board that already has one. As @Max_Settings just pointed out to me, a higher capacity PSU would be a good idea as well(thanks for that Max :)).

How can you just do this without asking him why? How do you know he doesn't need more drives? A 250GB SSD generally isn't enough for gamers and he specifically states video editing meaning those SSDd were likely to be raided which is HIGHLY helpful. And instead of replacing his monitors without explanation state use the 1440p 165Hz panel for gaming and find a 1440p IPS panel and since he stated VIDEO EDITING show him pros and cons of using an ultrawide while editing.

This isn't meant to be mean, users of this forum just do this all to often.

All that hadn't fully occurred to me. Sorry about that, but I had intended to use the SSD as a boot drive and the HDD as mass storage. He also said "very basic video editing" in his original post, although there would certainly be a benefit to using an ultrawide. I was thinking mostly of budget, honestly since he hadn't listed one, I tried to keep it as low as I could(bit of a habit, really).

Ya sorry, I just see people all to often throwing parts list at people without explaining it or asking why they chose those parts and how they plan to utilize them. I've talked to people who would get a 500GB Intel 600p drive and when asked why, there best response was "I don't know" instead of going with a drive 3x the size at a marginal price increase with a slight sacrifice to speed.

Ok gonna clear up a few things here. First the drives wern't going to be raided but now that i think about it would be logical to do so. Second I wasn't even going to use an ultrawide as I don't think it is necessary for what i am doing although in the future i probably will. And last i already found a 1440p ips panel for like $100 dollars more so i'm gonna use that.
