COMPUTER TECHIES I NEED HELP

So yesterday I was casually playing CSGO and all of a sudden my computer randomly turned off. I attempted to turn it back on but it didn't work. I unplugged it from the power brick and directly plugging it in, it didn't work. I turned off the psu and back on, it didn't work. I tried to discharge it by holding the power button while off, it didn't work. I tried different outlet, didn't work. I did not try anything inside the computer.

 

I had also recently bought this computer used off Kijiji so if you have any idea what the problem could be please reply. I had been using this pc for 5 days now. Thank you too all who will reply

Yeah it's probably a PSU issue. Get that thing replaced.

Get around 550 watts maybe EVGA or Corsair just look at the power supply tier list

CX450M/CX550M,

if you have more money EVGA G2/G3 550, SeaSonic FOCUS Plus Gold 550 or Corsair TX550M

EVGA GQ/GS also works.

tier 2 would probably be a good place to look, some tier 3s like the newer cx models from corsair would be good enough probably want 500w or more

I've just spent the last few days asking similar questions. I went with the Corsair RM550x cause it's a reliable modular PSU with a 10 year warranty.

yet in the post above did you not recommend a brand ? nothink worng with saying a brand or what size they should get thats why most people come here

EVERY, and I mean EVERY PSU brand makes at least one bad, terrible, or poor value unit.

 

I didn't. I recommended specific models, instead of a whole brand.
