Is XDN Worth mining then? I count on its market rising substantially through this year and perhaps next year. Or is it better to mine Bytecoin or Monero instead? I'd like to hear your opinions!

Used to be everywhere in LTT forums, had a break which lasted apparently 1 year LOL.

Gonna get up againnnn.

I have noticed a big jump in privacy coins like Verge and DigitalNote. If DigitalNote will increase like Verge then definitely mine it, especially since it is only at $0.02.

depending on the reward per share, it may be better to buy it, rather than mine it.

That's true, I forgot about that part, which is also why I prefer investing over mining.

Yeah, but if it becomes as popular as bitcoin or ether than this would probably be a worthwhile investment for only 2 cents.

We'll just have to wait and see how it grows.

Now I'm feeling the FOMO when XDN was at $0.001.

again, depends on the share. If the network doesn't have a lot of transactions occurring, then the share will be paltry to mine. new coins usually are very low volume, so again the long game might be to just buy it and hold it. If people start trading it like crazy, THEN start mining because the network will need more power, which you would then provide.

By the way, can you send XDN through a bitcoin address? If you can't, what wallets are there which supports XDN?

No, you have to use the coin specific wallet. As for what's out there... no idea. You're probably limited to exchange wallets, which are NOT a good place to store CC.

Yea you should be good. It's their own wallet and most likely one of the few wallets, other than exchanges, that can store XDN.

if you get the private keys to the wallet, THEN i'd say it's "safe".

I can't seem to be able to download minergate console (i heard it has a higher hashrate than if you use its gui) it says something about a service problem when i try to download. Anyone got a zip file for it or knows any other website i could download it from except from the official one?

  • 2 weeks later...

I recommend not using miner gate. They show your hash rate 30% slower than it actually is and then take the rest for themselves. I recommend ccminer or even nicehash if you are lazy and don't want to mess with files. (You need 7zip for ccminer).
