What is Project Core Tech?

There is an app in the Microsoft store that is called Project Core Tech (Beta) it links you to the LTT forum. Is this legit?

I think they are making a mobile app for LTT.

I was commisioned by them to make a bot (and paid nothing), then didn't because f*** working for free.

They shouldn't be using LTT forum logo unless they have permission. And this thread shows exactly why.

Permission was granted at a point in time.

 

The project was supposed to be shut down with Microsoft supposed to have removed access to both apps but apparently not.

It was originally under a different name.

 

At one point for reasons that I cannot and will not go into here, the name had to be changed. The logo was meant to be changed at some point but eventually it was decided that the project would be shut down.

 

Microsoft was supposed to make the app invisible to new users who haven't used the app before. But that obviously didn't happen.

 

I'm double checking now why users can still see the app.

Around September 2017 (potentially even earlier) it was agreed upon by most people working on the project that the project wasn't going anywhere fast and should probably shut down. People were kind of tired of working on it.

 

The source code was available until fairly late 2017. API keys for the API that the app used were disabled and the app was supposed to no longer be downloadable.
