Faulty HDD?

Hey guys, I bought a new HDD in June this year - the SeaGate Barracuda 1TB 6GB/S. Recently, usually while running games, the program crashes and closes, then a windows notification pops-up in the bottom right saying something like "HDD E:
Choose what you want to do with this drive"

I've seen the message before but only when plugging in USB drives... Is this a problem with the HDD itself or the rest of my PC? I'd appreciate any help I can get, thanks.

As Almostbauws has already said, double check the SATA connectors and make sure they're connected properly. If you're still having issues, try swapping the cables, if one of them if faulty/damaged.

Other than that, you could try running etither Seatools or HDTune to see if there are any bad sectors/clusters. I have a hard time seeing that your problem would be caused by this though.

To be clear you did format the hard drive upon install?
