am i reading this description right that it supports pcie m.2 and sata m.2 in the same m.2 socket?(not at the same time of course lol)

Direct extract from wikipedia:

Quote

Buses exposed through the M.2 connector are PCI Express 3.0, Serial ATA (SATA) 3.0 and USB 3.0, which is backward compatible with USB 2.0.

Google is your friend :P

i googled but it wouldnt say 100% and i never trust community editable wikipedia

Trust it more.

Pay attention to quoted data. In the reference section there's a link to SATA creators themnselves explaining :

Quote

M.2 (formerly known as NGFF) is a small form factor card and connector that supports applications such as Wi-Fi, WWAN, USB, PCIe & SATA, as defined in the PCI-SIG M.2 Specification

In that site, theres a direct link to PCI-SIG where you can consult M2 specifications too if you still dont trust SATA guys.

Distrusting Wikipedia for being editable makes no sense.

cheers.
