So i'm building another budget pc for light gaming and maybe one or two triple A titles, i already had ddr3 ram and an h81 mobo, i was looking at the i5 4460 but then considered the i3 4150 or i3 4160, i'll use a gtx 1050 for this, this pc will mainly be for 720p gaming and i was wondering what would you guys recommand, is the i3 4150 enough for e sport games and maybe lets say the witcher 3 or far cry 3 on 720p? I really dont want to overkill this build if i dont need the i5, as long as i keep 60 fps i'm happy with it

Should be fine with either cpu! However some titles require a quad core in order to even start up so you might wanna get the i5.

depends on what you really want. Is it just for occational light gaming ? esports like overwatch paladins ? it'll be enough for now that is but cant say for how long.

Just remember this - The days of dual core cpu's are long gone and if you are a kinda guy who plays f2p games ( and there are some really good f2p games) like well Planetside2 or warframe or dreadnought or whatever then i5 is the way to go. Also some AAA games will run well on a quad core i5. 4 Cores are quickly getting to be the min requirement.

Microsoft in there infinite wisdom have decided to impose a VRAM cap for games the that use DX9 o.O. May God Bless them those whoever came up with that idea.

That should be more than enough - the 1050 is decent at 1080p gaming i think so at 720p it should be good. Have you looked at AMD's Ryzen 3 cpu's too? I would suggest the i5 for gaming though as the I3's are okay but really not that great.

First thing I would recommend is that you should get a GTX 970 instead of the 1050. Checkout some benchmarking videos and you'll see it beat the 1050ti. You'll get way more bang for your buck and it'll be able the same price in the used/refurbished market. The 4460 would be just fine for Witcher 3. That said i'm finding better prices for the more popular and powerful 4690 (non-k). A GTC 970 + 4690 would be my recommendation. I get a solid 60fps in PUBG 1080p with that same config.

I would if i has the possibility but in my country its not Possible, here i can find a 950 that costs the same as a 1050ti

I see what you mean, and yeah i Kinda play mostly e sport titles like dota and smite and planning to get overwatch, the i3 is just to get started then i guess since i dont need the i5 immediately, what i'm really scared of right now is stuttering, i'm with a first gen i3 with 2 gigs of ram currently, i just hope i dont experience any stutter or craches with te i3 4150

As long as you have 8GB of ram I don't see the i3 causing stutter, it's generally good enough for less intensive games from what I know

By first gen i3 do you mean i3 5xx series? wow that's a long time, anyway i am currently playing esports on an i3 2120 with 4 GB ram and an r7 250 while i wait for my new pc parts to arrive. While it is sufficient to get me smooth shutter free game play i still find it kinda lacking ... its hard to explain umm like i feel like i need more power, maybe its something personal, makes me wish i had an i5 cause the game planetside 2 is a no go with my current cpu, its a shuttering mess but it wont be for long :) my new pc components should arrive soon.

most esports and multiplayer games are more CPU dependent than GPU.

Shutter free gaming?  i5

Better visual quality ? i3 with 1050 ti

hope it helps.
