Hello, this is my first post on this forum and have no idea where to post this so mods please move to the appropriate area if needed.

So I have a powerful gaming rig, tv, windows phone, and 2 i-pads that I want to have on a home network, so that I can stream videos over.  Say for instance be able to stream my desktop of my pc to the smart tv, or sometime from an ipad to the tv.  Is this even possible, and if it is how would I go about it?

Thanks in advance :)

For ipad you need an Apple TV and you can stream you ipad display over Airplay.

For desktop streaming it will depend on what exact you want to do.

However If your talking about streaming a game from your PC to you TV and being able to play the game on the TV, you should look into something like Steam in home streaming. You will need to get a Steam Link.

Their are other options like Parsec, however it requires another computer to be able to stream buying a Steam Link would be a lot cheaper option.

Now, as far and networking Apple TV and the ipad can all work over WiFi no problem however Steam streaming isn't the best over WiFI it is recommended to use a Ethernet cable for both the computer and the device it is streaming to.

No idea on windows phone, Miracast maybe?

Chromecast would be the thing for all. Idk about Windows phones support, but desktops are supported, even VLC has version with support.

Another way is to setup UPnP and DLNA system, but it needs apps and software to have support.
