Please note, This is not a scam, I truly mean this to the bottom of my heart.

Dear Community,

My name is Nolan Donohue and I’m working on somewhat of a charity project to give back to my old friend who doesn’t have much. His name is Jonny, he is 16 years old, a junior in a secondary high school in Michigan. He really wants to go to school to study a degree with computers, but this is where the problem exists. His current computer has been around since he was in 4th grade, crashes all the time and has problems running his programs. It features a quad core AMD Processor which only has two functioning cores left. I’ve been his friend since early 4th grade and know him very well; he loves gaming and computer type coding. He suffered from abuse when he was growing up, then just after his parents went through a divorce, his dad passed away unexpectedly before he was in 5th grade. Jonny and his mother basically live paycheck to paycheck so there is nothing extra for him. I decided to work on a new computer for his Birthday in February as a present. Unfortunately it still needs a lot of work. I’ve been putting in a lot of my personal money to help him but I can’t finish it by myself. This is why I’m sending this to you; I’m asking for any possible donations of some simple parts to help me finish his computer for him. Not only will this help him in what he loves, but will also provide a basis for him to build upon in the future. Below this letter I have a part list of what I wish to provide him with, although anything will help. Hope this touches you, I’ve been his only best friend for as long as he can remember and am most likely his only true friend. As of this email he is not aware of what I’m doing for him. If you would like to contribute to this project for Jonny in any way, please email me or call me back at Ndonohue2018@gmail.com.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Happy Holidays!

Nolan Donohue

Yeah.. This is against CoC.. And it sounds like something I'd find in my spam box..

I realize, but I want to give back no matter what.

Ahh okay so not to far from me. It is nice what you are doing but I was/am in the same boat and him sorta and instead of complaining about my computer until someone bought me one I actually went out and got a job and bought my own, your friend should do the same. Being abused by your parents isn't an excuse to be a lazy ass. I worked a 50 hour a week job doing landscaping in the blistering hot summers of michigan which easily get to 100f+ when I was 16 years old and I worked jobs every summer/winter since then when I was in highschool. I suggest your friend does the same.

Edit* Like I said what you are trying to do is nice but there is literally active members of this forum that are homeless and living out of their car because their parents disowned them and kicked them out. I'd rather give my money to them personally.

Maybe he should get his shit together then instead of being ignorant and getting fired. I worked retail jobs on the mall and local stores when I was in highschool to, computers obviously aren't as important to him as you think if he isn't willing to bust his ass and work for it.
