Fx6300 Overclock

Hi. So...

i recently built a gaming rig with an Fx6300 and im new to overclocking so i just have a few questions. And before you say it, i am aware that the fx series isnt the greating as far as processors go. But i wanted a budget pc and am3+ were cheaper at the time.

 

Question 1:

 

Should i disable the turbo clock and just focus on the base clock? Or should i Be changing the turbo clock speed and leave the base clock at 3.5ghz? Ps. Im going for 4.7ghz

 

question 2:

 

What is considered safe as far as voltage goes. Im using an h100i v2 for cooling but i dont want to over do it on the voltage.

Safe voltage on FX is up to 1.45V, maybe 1.5 if you have decent VRMs.

 

Which motherboard are you using?

Why 2012 tech. Even on a budget you could've done better. Just how big of a deal you got on that system?
