4690K Overclock?

I have a 4690K paired with a Hyper 212 EVO and I would like to overclock it. I have heard that it has gotten to 4.8GHz before, but I don't know what voltage to set it to in order to achieve that frequency. My idle temps are about 35~40, my load temps are 50~56 (are these temps normal and will my 212 be able to handle an overclock to 4.8?) If I could get some tips on how to go about doing this that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Try 1.2 Or 1.25V And It should be able to handle it if your okay with maybe 70C Temps load.

In Windows make sure you use HWinfo (this one can be complex) or HWmonitor (temperature reading can be wrong) to monitor the temperature and voltage changes.

Are you sure about this?! I do have the paid versions of both CPUID HWMonitorPro and AIDA64 Extreme. They both report the same numbers....

The 4690K overclocks pretty well. I've only seen a 4.8Ghz overclock on water though, you could probably get 4.5 with the 212

Sometimes it does. Hwinfo just dumps all the numbers out for your to look at while Hwmonitor only displays some.
