do you think it is a hardware or software problem with my PC ?

while I'm playing battlefield 4 I alt+tab to open a web browser tab for example youtube 

when I finish from that browser tab and I want to go back to battlefield 4 I just press the x button to close that tab and go back to battlefield 4

but when I press the x button to close the tab my whole PC freeze even ctrl alt tab will not work

if I'm not playing battlefield and I close the web browser tab by pressing the x my PC will NOT freeze

it only happen if I was running battlefield in the backround

 

I have i7 6700k Not overclocked

gigabyte z170x gaming 5

sapphire r9 390 NITRO

 

I can idle my PC for days and gaming for many hours without any problem 

it will ONLY freeze if I do this

 

do you think it is a hardware or software problem ?

It sounds very much like a software problem. Do't think a hardware problem would behave like this. Could be wrong though. I haven't had many hardware problems myself.

There are few games that still had problems with alt+tabbing in general

 

Most game nowdays have Windowed fullscreen mode to anticipate this problem, and to stream/etc.

Is this the only game that does this? Usually, it's not recommended to alt tab out of games due to instability it can cause, especially with the lower level API's. I have a few games that behave like this. There isn't anything wrong with your computer.
