i5 8400 cpu usage 100% while doing nothing

If you try to do something that requires significant CPU horsepower, such as cinebench, does it feel slower then it should? Trying to diagnose whether it is a reporting issue or an actual issue.

I'd personally imagine it's a reporting error, try updating windows. It is a new CPU after all, and Windows probably isn't used to the new six-cores.

Task manager shows 100% , rain meter shows different things.Adding core temp information.

Should i be worried ?? Thanks in advance.

Do you really need 3 different threads for the same problem?

Start with the basics. Load into safe mode, continue doing what you normally do, and see if it's still at 100%. Narrow it down application by application, turn things off at startup, and see if the problem persists.

You really should keep these posts within a single thread in the future, it makes it difficult for others to search for the same problem, only to find information scattered in 3 different threads.
