Drain Port Problem

Hi guys,

So I setup a drain port just like how Jay did in his video on the reservoir/pump combo inlet with a T valve. However, when I do release the liquid in the system, only those in the reservoir would come out. How do I get the rest of the liquid to come out?

Check out this and you'll see what I mean. Jump to 11:24 mark. You'll see the liquid inside of the tube on top of the reservoir didn't go through. That's exactly what happened to me. Jay didn't show how he did the rest of the drain unfortunately.

In most cases you cannot get every last drop out but you can tilt the system and move it around to help remove as much as you can.

It takes a lot of moving it around to get as much out as possible.

But in my case, it was only the reservoir that the liquid got removed. Even the inlet on the top did not have the water drained to the reservoir.

Sound like it’s just airlocked or trapped but simply moving it around and agitating it will get things going.

I see. Thank you. I will try that next time. I just wanted to make sure the setup isn't wrong or if there's any extra new steps I need to do. I already blew in one of the tube to make the liquid came out lool. Thanks again!

Ideally it’s best to not blow into the loop as you can contaminate it but if your cleaning it out that work also.

I use my compressor to empty my loops when I want everything out. Faster and doesn't matter how I build them that way.
