I've noticed it for a while now but never bothered making a post about it. I run around perfectly smoothly in a game for 40 seconds, and then it freezes for 10. This only happens in certain games. I've only noticed it in Garry's Mod and Fortnite so far. It's gotten to the point where these games are basically unplayable.

Any ideas? I'm on the latest drivers. My CPU is an i5-6500.

EDIT: I've tried running all of these games on lower settings and resolutions. Nothing seems to help.

What's temps on the card, you could try to limit max fps so card won't load at max

is it random or almost all the time? also is the card overclocked or over heating?. does it happen during power spikes.. it could be the power supply isn't able to handle the load any more. or something might be wrong with the core or vrm. . id also try downloading amd cleanup utility. use it first. then re install what ever the recommended driver is for your card..if that doesnt work i might suspect a power supply or maybe pci socket issue. could take the card out and try it on another system. with no drivers installed if it does the same thing then its F

Around 60 degrees in Garry's Mod. Will check for other games and update.

It's almost all the time in Garry's Mod, and random in Fortnite. It has a factory overclock, and I don't think it's overheating. It's really weird, because I can run around perfectly fine for a good 40-50 seconds, and then it just completely freezes for 10. It's only in the game, too.

I don't have another system to test the card.

it sounds like a driver issue then. if its only with particular games. i would for sure download the amd clean up utility, use it,and then re install the best drivers for your card. . sometimes when amd drivers update.. it screws up and leaves old files in there.
