CPU cooler suggestions

I am currently using the stock cooler that comes with the CPU and it's all fine and dandy, but I'm thinking of buying a 'CRYORIG - H7' as an upgrade (if I find it in local stores).

The case can support a maximum size of around 159mm so there's no problem there, I was just wondering if it's a good cooler and if anyone has any other suggestions.

Thank you.

no real need to upgrade unless its to bring down the noise, you cant really do anything with the extra thermal headroom

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

if you want an upgrade id either save up for a GPU swap, or just get better  periferals honestly. like you COULD probably swap in an I7 7700 but thats not really much of an improvement

I got this GPU a few months ago so I'm not really looking to get another one anytime soon.

In terms of peripherals, the mouse and speaker are the only thing I'm contemplating changing but they still work fine so idk

then get a tub of icecream or something because a cooler wont do much, besides noise, but i guess thats also a valid reason. if so you could go for something like the EREBOSS CORE EDITION and have a fanless CPU cooler i guess

Will passive coolers still keep my temperatures down while I'm playing games?

If you get a good one it will be cooler than the stock heatsink

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Why a passive cooler? It's not going to cool nearly as well as an active cooler while being more expensive and not make your system any quieter as long as you're using any other fans and a hdd. If you want better cooling, passive cooling is sub-optimal.

Where are you shopping/located? Budget?

I'm debating between buying it online or looking for a local store that might have something good.

I don't really have a fixed budget; I'll save up either way. The upgrade isn't urgent.

That doesn't really answer the question. What country/region are you located at?

I live in the middle-east, Oman to be exact.

Where would you be shopping online in that case?

Are there any shops you can link us to? If shopping locally, can you link us to any available parts lists?

I bought most of the parts for my PC from this site (based in Dubai)

https://gear-up.me/

But I can use Amazon if I don't find something there.

As for local stores, most of the stores I went to don't really have much, I've heard of a "great" store, but i haven't gotten the chance to check it out (don't think they have a website)
