Recommend an MP3 Player

I'm looking for recommendations for an MP3 Player with a decent amount of output power. The MP3 player will mainly be used as an input device in my truck where my current MP3 player (Creative Zen) gives me noticeably lower volume than the other inputs (FM, CD, XM) or other AUX in devices such as my wife's iPhone5S or Galaxy S8. I'd like to avoid options from Apple or anything that requires the use of software that may not play nice with my music library. Price isn't a big issue, but I'm not buying something as expensive as a smartphone just to leave it in my truck. For those wondering why I don't just use my smart phone, well I'm 27 and yes I still use a flip phone lol.

Just get an old iPod Video and an amp. Cheapest, highest capacity option...unless you want to get something with a microSD slot, but Apple generally has the best software. I can't see why it wouldn't play nicely with your library.
