Hi! I just recently built my computer and started playing games. (I have an evga gtx 1060 3gb, ryzen 1500X, MSI b350 tomahawk and one stick of 8gb ddr4 corsair value select ram)

I downloaded Assasssins creed 4 since it was free and put it to max settings, but to my suprise i could bearly surpass 40 fps. And my friend who bulit his comp like 4 years ago with in todays standard pretty trash components could run it at max with a stabile 60fps. So I was wondering what could have caused me to have such low framerates.

Edit: Just bought Cs:go and It runs at around 70fps. What is this!!? You could probably run CS:GO on a toaster and get better fps...

Please help a man who just switched from console and isnt too happy with the results!

In CS:GO I have compltely max beacuse I expected my comp to be able to handle that easily

and on AC4 I also maxed everything out exept the anti analysing

The higher the settings the lower FPS, but higher eye candy, what most pro's do in CS they lower the settings all the way, or thats what Ive learned

Yeah yeah I know that but shouldnt my computer to able to preform better in older games like that.

Im afraid I might buy I game and realize I cant run it. All the benchmarks on the specs say that I should have much higher FPS

black flag runs like shit on pc, my dual 980ti + 6700k system runs it worse than my 1050ti and i5 4430 media machine

try running something like unigine heaven, that is optimized and will give you a score you can use to compare against similar systems
