Need a compact gaming keyboard

Go to solution Solved by Air tree,

How much smaller is the 60% than the 84?

You can judge for your self but quite a bit smaller.

And the poker 2

large_458_SDC12626.jpg

For a bit more of perspective it's about the size of just the main part of your keyboard. No f keys, No arrow keys no num pad ect..

Quick question - is there a decent gaming keyboard I can get that A. has roughly the same footprint as the Apple Wireless Keyboard and B. costs $80 US or less? My desk isn't particularly spacious, and I can't get a new one on account of being in a dorm.

You're and your are not the same. Neither are their, there, and they're. Defiantly and Definitely are definitely not the same. Definately and Rediculous are not words, and you should feel bad for misspelling them. If English is your first language, you don't have a learning disorder, and you get any of these wrong, you are making the entire forum slightly dumber by doing so. Please take the extra three seconds to type properly, and have a nice day.

The cable is detachable from the keyboard. The PC end is fullsize USB, the keyboard end is Mini-USB.

What about an 60% keyboard? Can you live without dedicated arrow keys and dedicated Fkeys? (Under a Fn layer of course)

If you can't live without any of those i highly recommend this keyboard if you want a compact keyboard with all the same keys as a normal TKL http://www.vendio.com/stores/E-sports-Gaming-equipments/item/shop-mechanical-keyboard-by-sw/key-cool-84-gaming-cherry-mx-s/lid=36275370

I can absolutely live without dedicated arrow keys and Fkeys, as long as I'm still able to access the Quicksave button. I looked up the Quickfire, and it's still about three inches wider than I was hoping for. My desk's keyboard/mouse tray is REALLY badly designed, which means that I only have about 17 inches of side-to-side space to work with.

EDIT: That being said, the Keycool looks pretty much perfect. Does it come in black?

If that's the case here is a good 60% keyboard: http://www.vendio.com/stores/E-sports-Gaming-equipments/item/shop-mechanical-keyboard-by-br/white-kbc-poker-2-61keys-mecha/lid=37280969 If you can wait a little bit for it to come in stock there is a cheaper black version (Like 8 dollars cheaper) If you can stretch your budget this would be a great compact keyboard.

Gotcha. I'm using an Apple wireless keyboard now, which is about 11 inches across and looks like it's about the same size as the Keycool. Since they're about the same price and do look roughly similar, I think I'll go with the 84. Thanks for the recommendation!
