In case anyone has been backing off of the PUBG train as of lately due to poor optimizations, come on over to the test servers and run desert map and the original island. The new vaulting system solves a lot of the issues folks have with movement, and the frame rates are PHENOMINAL (20-40% increase for many folks). Right now I'm able to hold around 100 fps on my gaming laptop (1070, 7700HQ, at 1080 High), and 120-140 fps on my gaming desktop (1070sli, 8700k @ 5.01 ghz, maxed out, 3440x1440 UWS). With 1.0 releasing in 2 days (early Christmas?) hopefully they keep making progress in the right direction.

Yeah the new updates to the engine made the game run much better. On the test server i get about 80-100 fps on a mix of medium/high and low settings with a 970. Looks better too.

Gun and character details are vastly improved. Though, even on highest settings, the rendering of distant objects still has issues.

Even in the PTS I'm still getting CPU bottlenecking bringing my frames down into the 50's, but it's far less common. Also, the CPU optimizations have really helped SLI. I'm able to run the game at 5120x2880 at high settings (effects and AA set to low) around the 75 FPS range.

The update has really helped but my main issue currently is the servers. The regular servers usually work just fine unless they are having server issues but the test servers are always awful.

Thank China.

Good thing is today is LAUNCH day.
