PC needs long time to boot, DRAM LED on board lights up.

Tronnic

Hello everyone,

I have a slight problem with my Computer. Sometimes I have really long boot times. I will add a youtube link to the end of this post where I tried to record my problem. It's usually after I turn on my power and boot up the PC. I have power completely turned off with my WiFi-Smartplug.

The DRAM-LED from my motherboard will light up and the PC won't boot until the DRAM-LED is off. It sometimes takes up to 20 seconds, 10 on avarage I would say. I had rare occasions where the PC didn't post at all and I had to power cycle to get it going (2 times in the last 2 or 3 months).

Fast Boot is enabled in Bios.

My Computer-Hardware:

CPU: Intel Core i7 7700k
CPU Cooling: Corsair H100i v2 Watercooler
RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z 3200MHz Ram
GPU: Asus Geforce GTX 1080 ti Strix Gaming
MB: Asus ROG Strix Z270F Gaming
Fans: Corsair SP120 RGB Fans with Controller
PSU: 650W EVGA SuperNova
M.2: Samsung 960 Evo 250GB M.2 SSD
SSD: 512GB Crucial MX, 120GB Crucial MX
HDD: WD Black 4TB
Case: Corsair Crystal 460X Tempered Glass
OS: W10 64bit

I hope someone can help me. It's frustrating to see my DualCore Server boot within seconds into Windows where my i7 PC takes ages. It's not that big of a deal, I know. But there might be something wrong with my hardware that could fail in the future.

if you google your mobo it seems to be an issue many others are having as well, attached is that link. sorry i cant be of more help, however there are a ton of "solved" posts listed in google and you may try doing some of the things listed, however i would be careful about whether or not a site is reputable before following advice: https://www.google.com/search?q=Asus+ROG+Strix+Z270F+Gaming+dram+light&rlz=1C1AVFC_enUS763US763&oq=Asus+ROG+Strix+Z270F+Gaming+&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i57j0l4.3017j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
