Cherry MX Browns are somewhat a hybrid between blue and red so you might like those. I have a Ducky Shine 3 with browns and they are very nice both to type and to game on :) In terms of what keyboard, what is your budget?

Browns are nothing like Reds. Browns are more closely related than reds because Browns have a tactile feed back when the key activates. But the Browns is lighter than blues and does not have the extra audible click.

if u take the tactile feedback out of browns they are pratically reds . if i recall correctly they require the same amount of force or really close amount

I have a Roswell cherry Reds and Blues sitting next to each other on my desk ask I speak.  Pressure wise they are about the same (to me, technically the blue takes more), the blue is much louder/clickier.   The red is more of a subdued light thump, maybe like dog paws on the kitchen floor level of noise, frankly i like it.  I have feedback, but can still hear over it.  The blue is not bad at all,  i might type a little faster on it, but not by much.  It is much louder and much more of a click, both louder, and more of a high pitch noise, not a muffled one. Feed back it reminds me a little more of an old clicky manual typewriter.  There does seem to be a little more force on the keys when you release on the blue, pressing down feels the same, but there is more resistance left after you press, sorta resistance on your finger.  I don't use that one as much, it is my other half's mine is the red.  I think the blue is a bit too loud, i can hear it clearly from the other room.  So if you live with people, to be blunt they will likely hear you typing with the blue, He likes it and likes it for typing a lot.  He is one of those guys that request the weird ergonomic split keyboards are offices usually, but likes his blues enough to use that instead.  It is great for typing.

Honestly both are wonderful.   If he or i swapped keyboards without telling eachother,  I am not sure we would notice.  You likely will be happy with either.  My advice is that unless you really want a clicky keyboard, get the Red.  The one advantage to blues is that Monoprice.com makes a cheap blue switch keyboard, that is honestly the only reason I would go with the louder one, is for a damn good bargain.

and by that logic if you take out the audible click and the feed back from blues then it becomes reds with a higher activation force.

whats wrong with you today? no need to get stupid over a keyboard

if u have something with 1 similarity (force required) and 1 difference (feedback) u can say they are similar and be correct.

I have browns, I like them quite a bit, I tried red+ browns at Fry's electronics near my house, I didn't like the noise reds made, so I got browns instead,  I have a buddy with blues. He said he likes them but wishes he got reds instead because of the noise blues make

Imagine 2 keyboards.

Now imagine Twp fundamental differences. Blues and browns have a pressure point like membranes, there is a moment where the key just gives, like a bump you push through. Its tactile and responsive.

Reds are completely linear. A perfectly smooth transition till you bottom out the stroke. Both activate at the same!e point, but the reds feel much smoother.

I prefer reds for everything, and browns for typing.

Blues are bad for gaming because they have aodd switching mechanism, you cannot double tap a blue key.

That white piece prevents double taps, so if you play quick action (twitch) games like cs:go you definitely font want blues.
