Hey there!

I'm looking to upgrade my i3-7100 processor some time soon. I have a gtx 1060 3gb, 16 gb of DDR4 RAM, and a 500 watt power supply. I mostly use my computer for gaming. (mostly first person shooters and such. Pub g is a big one.) The question is which processor do I go with? I'm not looking to change my motherboard which is a B250m pro-vd. I believe an i5 processor would work best for me. Which i5 would be the best deal for me to get considering I have a 1060 3gb and only have a 500 watt power supply. Thanks for the help :).

Depending on pricing, you would be fine with a 7600 or 7600K (even if you can't overclock it, the K series have slightly higher clocks)

Frostbite (White build PC)

as COUPER MILLAR said, any Skylake or Kabylake i5 or i7 with the highest clock speed within your budget..

if you can afford the 7700/K go for it.
