2011 Mac harddrive upgrade?

So I have this old 2011, and its gotten pretty slow over time, would it be possible to put in a new HDD or even an SSD to speed it up?

Ah, so it's a MacBook Pro 2011. Gotcha. They have SATA3 in the HDD bay iirc. Just get any SATA SSD and it'll run fine. Also upgrade RAM to 8GB.

To add: the early 2011 can take 1600MHz ram fine. Its fairly easy procedure.
