SupremeFX quality

Has anyone tried out the SupremeFX audio on some of the ASUS motherboards?  Is it just as good as having a good dedicated sound card such as a Xonar Phoebus?  I'm planning on getting an ASUS mobo and was trying to decide if I needed a dedicated sound card as I'm used to hearing sound coming from my dedicated Creative sound card.  Thanks.

If you already have the creative, plug it in and see which you prefer.
