I am shopping for a new laptop

I am looking for a new laptop, around 1500-1750 cad

needs

1080p or better display

thunderbolt 3 port (for razer core the core is for upgrading in the future)

8+ gigs of ram

quad core processor

gtx1060 or better graphics card

if no graphics card, a 2 in 1 would be nice.

thanks for suggestions

I personally plan on getting an MSI Stealth series, mostly for performance and portability since I take my laptop with me quite often.

Also, what's the point of getting a Razer Core if you're already getting a good dGPU built into the system? Not seeing the logic for that...

Just bought the 6700/1060 gs63 and its fantastic.

OP, as crunchy said, the stealth series from msi. Though the gtx 1060 variants are a little out of your price range.. Maybe wait till boxing day

Budget option, Dell Inspiron 7577, it's got i5-7300HQ (has i7 option as well which is also HQ version), GTX 1060 6GB Max-Q and ThunderBolt 3 with full 4 PCIe lanes support. If you want something like a convertible that also let's you take notes with Stylus Pen, Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 370 is a pretty good option, it's quite expensive but it also has ThunderBolt 3 with full 4 PCIe lanes support. Though be wary that the ThinkPad Yoga 370 comes with U dual-core processor (7th Gen). While it might be sufficient for most games, it will suffer when playing open-world games as it can potentially bottleneck the eGPU performance (around 15% drop).
