Is this a good 3d printer?

I found this printer on special and it seems like a good deal. It has a heated build plate because it says it can do abs but idk. Im kind of a noob.

I think you might find limiting. I don't think it's a very good value, maybe get a cr10 or throw some upgrades et an anet a8.

Ok thanks. Is the anet 8 easy for a noob to build?

The included colour instructions are great. They also have a step by step youtube video assembling the entire machine

 

Be VERY careful with the power supply. I'd highly suggest zip tying an 80mm computer fan to it, mine got extremely hot during use.

 

There's no care taken into electrical safety, so I'd also suggest printing a shroud for the power supply's electrical connections

That looks like it!

 

I'd suggest printing with PLA, and printing on to masking tape. The printbed will have a layer pre-applied.

 

There's all sorts of printable upgrades that improve print quality.

Be prepared for at least a few solid weekends work before you get any useable prints out of the A8's and similar kits, but it can be done. They need a lot of love to get great prints and stay reliable.

My anet A8 was printing great from day 1

 

It really helps having prior 3D printing experience.
