Hello my name is Steven I'm new to this and looking for tips on upgrading/building my rigs.

I guess the first thing is I'm looking to upgrade my MB i have a Gigabyte GA-78LMT with an AMD FX6300 CPU and wanted sometime that can accommodate more fans but use the same CPU, RAM, and Videocard.

I was looking at the GA-MA770T-UD3 or GA-990FXA-UD3, from Gigabyte.

But if anyone could tell me a MB with ruffly the same specs. for a lower price, that would be much appreciated.

The ASRock 970 and M5A78L-M LE are good boards which fit your CPU

Well my budget is low, cheaper is better, lol but i was hoping not to spend over about $150.

The 990FX is an amazing chipset for AMD CPU's. My Sabertooth board is brilliant, the AMD SATA controller is brilliant, infact it was so good it stopped me from buying a sas card, which is the reason i bought the Sabertooth board in the first place, for the 2x 16pcix 1x 8pcix & 1x 1pcix slots
