This one focuses on future upgradability, so other than the power supply, CPU and GPU, all are good for a very long time (until they break or your friend decide to change the platform).

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BJWKyf

This one purely for performance now. The mobo has weaker power delivery so if next gen Zen CPUs overclocked better while drawing more power than Ryzen then it might not be a good idea to overclock much on this mobo. 8GB is also a minimum for a gaming system so that will need upgrades as well. The cheap case might turn into an eyesore after some time. The graphics card does push more fps than the 1050ti though.

you could buy memory second hand to it would be much cheaper and it would almost never break

ask me about your system builds, AIO's, CPU's, PSU's, and GPU's.

Can provide him links to find these things for these prices? On eBay, after shipping, these chips run $250-300 and the mobo runs $120-130.

Look at r/hardwareswap, I am currently deciding between a 6800k or a 5820k each for $200 shipped and I just bought a fantastic x99 formula OC for 110 shoes to Canada (us price was $90 shipped)

If you can find one locally (or avoid shipping), you should be able to get a used GTX 970 for the same price as a new 1050 Ti.

No GPUs in budget can run pubg that high, I would actually recommend a 1080p ultrawide as both games support it relatively well

Here's what I put together:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kYVL6X

I sacrificed the SSD, which you can pick up in the future, to have 16gb of RAM. While the load times will be slower with a mechanical drive, once you're in the game it shouldn't make too much of a difference, especially if you're installing your games on a mechanical drive anyway in a small SSD + larger HDD setup like many people run.

You should be able to get a decent overclock out of the CPU and GPU. Also, as I stated above, you should be able to find a GTX 970 for the price of a 1050 Ti, which would be a nice performance boost.

The monitor is only 75Hz, but on a budget build you're going to struggle putting out 144Hz. Plus, you're not going to get a monitor with g-sync on this budget, which definitely steers me away from a high rate monitor.

If you want to go on Kinguin for an OEM Win10 code, or you already have a Win10 code you can use, you can put that extra money toward a better monitor or video card. The monitor I included has FreeSync, so if you could free up enough money for a Radeon RX580, that would probably be a good buy.
