3:2 Aspect ratio - İmportant

hey, I just Bought a laptop from asus : https://www.asus.com/us/Laptops/ROG-GL702VS/specifications/ waiting for it to arrive. I bought the 75hz screen which has a 3:2 aspect ratio. I searched everywhere but couldnt find any answers . while playing games or watching movies or videos will ı have black bars? or will ı be able to do everything at fullscreen normally?

I'm pretty sure that's a typo, because it says the screen resolution is 1920x1080, which is 16:9

When playing games it probably will be fine as games are not made for a specific aspect ratio most of the time, but you'll definitely have black bars on youtube, netflix ect..

Yeah looks like a typo to me too, but yeah if you want you can play games in a 3:2 aspect ratio

oh. Is aspect ratio dependant on the screen resolution? I did not know that. I reallyhope thats a typo. I am on youtube and netflix a lot so to have black bars would be a huge deal for me.

The aspect ratio is the width to height ratio. 1920×1080 has 16 horizontal pixels for every 9 vertical pixels.

 

If you use a resolution that is a different ratio than your screen's physical resolution, whether you'll get black bars or not is your choice, you can set it however you want in the NVIDIA/AMD/Intel graphics control panel.
