Well they both require maintenance the fluids should be changed every 6-12 months. The tubing itself for soft tube does degrade overtime so when you notice yellowing or it becoming stiff they need to be changed, hardline doesn’t have the problem.

Soft tubing verys a lot from brand and what coolant you use,It could last 6 months to maybe 3 years.Hard tubing is pretty much bullet proof to a point. For a rookie soft tubing will be easier to install,Hard tubing cost a tiny bit more but bending it takes a heat gun and some extra tools and practice to get it right. He is right on the cleaning and changing the fluid is the same for either tubing.

There are allot of factories, you will not get a straight answer. I know one who been running there system for six years and never drain the loop once. It still running perfectly. Every so often he tops off the coolant. There also some coolants on the market designed to last up to five years.

Soft tubing will need replaced every so often. Even hardline tubing might need replaced, the tubing can turn yellow(not from the coolant). The only bullet proof tubing is Glass.

Current Build: Project Frost
Gaming Rig Build: Project Ice Dragon
