Budget PUBG rig

Hey, asking for a cousin. He wants to get into playing PUBG, and needs a PC. So I'm trying to get together a complete parts list (he'll need a display and KB/mouse, everything) for as cheap as possible, while still performing well at 1080p. So any ideas on a PC (preferably under $700) that can keep 60fps or so most of the time in PUBG? Asking here since I have 0 experience with the game.

I think even real high end PC's can't keep 60fps in that game.

Oke. I know it's hard to run, but apparently people can keep it running smoothly on an RX580 or equivalent. So what's the lowest price for decent hardware that will run it smoothly at 1080p?

Well a 1060 6gb/r5 1600 for $800-$1000 can run low/medium at maybe 50 fps average.  If you were to get a 1400/1060 6gb, you could probably fit the budget, but will be 40+ fps at medium settings.

Rly n**** I had GTX 690, Phenom 1055T (4 cores), 8 GB and I got smooth 60 fps with mixing on medium and low.

My x5650 (5820k equivalent when ocd) and my 970 only got me about 40-50fps at minimum 1080p settings

Yep, I was thinking about X58 Xeon as well. I have an X5675 OCed to 4.2Ghz (had to disable hyperthreading tho) and a 980 Ti and it's dope.

Why would you need to disable HT? I once had 5.13ghz on mine, all cores and HT on. But its degraded now and will only go to 4.35 and crashes at high voltage.

PUBG needs IPC more than cores and Xeon will not scale that great. 980 Ti will be dope af.

Wow is the X5650 really equivalent to a 5820K? Maybe I'll have to pick one up for my x58 board I have laying around.

Yep, at 4.35ghz the x5650 is a 5820k equivalent (stock). I use 200x20 (boost on)

IDK. I know basically nothing about OCing, just punched in the numbers from a Youtube vid and tweaked them slightly. With HT on, it runs at 4.2GHz idle, but drops to 2GHz or so under load.

Is it typical to get those kinds of overclocks on the x5650 though? Seems like a lot.

Yep, most X58 Xeon can break 4GHz AFAIK.

Ive had two x5650s, one was 5ghz capable, the other was 4.1, sold it. Had two x5660s, one hit 4.7, the other hit 3.8, but was super effecient. (0.975vcore @ 3.67)
