My friend bought a R3 1300x on Black Friday. He paired it with an MSI B350 tomahawk mobo and 16gb of ADATA 2400MHz memory. He is trying to OC the but for some reason the CPU ratio option was greyed out indiccating he cant change it. The only thing he was able to use was "game boost" to achieve 3.7GHz, but we read that it only boosts 2 cores? Is it possible to have it run all cores OCed?

yes, he's just not looking in the right place I'm guessing. Look for an "advanced" option, or something like that.

When that board came out no official support for Ryzen 3 or Ryzen 5 existed yet please make sure to reset to factory defaults in the board and update to the newest bios. You will be able to OC in the bios after that most likely anyways
