Mini-ITX build case

Hey guys,

Im 15 and have never built a PC by myself. I want to build a mini itx pc similar to PS4 or Xbox One in size

I dont like boxy cases but for my budget build I cant afford an s4 mini or dr zaber sentry. I was thinking about buying an Xbox One S shell and putting my pc in it but that would mean a lot of risky modding that i cant afford. So either an Xbox shell or my custom case that would be made out of:

1. 2 parts of metal (top and bottom)

2. Thats it

Pc parts

B series motherboard (when it comes out)

I3 8100

1050 ti / rx 560

8/16 gigs of 2400mhz ram

Pico psu??

So any suggestions? Im sorry if my post is bad Im not very good in posting or english ?

take a look at silverstone cases. They have a lot of sff and console-like cases and most are priced reasonably as well.

I dont know really the cheaper the better parts will go around 400 euros without case and psu

I wouldnt like to go more than 500 euros. Is it possible?

I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina but I can get a hold on parts from Germany (mindfactory.de)

Thank you guys but does anyone know about some diying

DIYing a case? Your unlikely to make a case for cheaper than buying one and if you want a super low profile build you'll need a GPU riser, the ones that are worth having are not cheap. It is doable if you have expierence with things like that but you should at least build a normal~ish system before embarking on that particular adventure.

Modifying a case is much more reasonable and it wouldn't be too bad to change the appearence if you so desire. Giving it a nice paintjob could make it feel more consolely if you so desire, but there are other more drastic mods. Just google case mods with the case you want should give you ideas.

As someone who is DIYing a case trust me, its about the same cost.... the only reason I'm not buying one like the Node 202 is for the simple fact of I need to fit existing hardware. SFF computers are NOT cheap, and the smaller it gets the more expensive it gets.

That said, for me to switch to the Node 202 I would have to buy at least a 256GB M.2 drive (preferable of 500GB) for my games and a 2.5" HDD for my anime collection and then an SFX PSU, I'm looking at near $400, no thanks.

Right now I'm putting together a 12L acrylic case to fit up to 11" GPU, 2x3.5" HDDs (1TB each) and a full size EVGA 430W PSU. The cost would be about the same as the Node 202 even for sleeving and cutting down the length of the PSU wires and perhaps others.... Actually this case will be SMALLER than the node 202 even fitting a full size ATX PSU

19"x11"x3.5" I.D. Case:$20 (made by a local company actually)

PSU Connectors with Pins, : $17

Blue and White Paracord*: $14

Front USB 3.0 with front audio: $12

Right angle PCI-E PCB Riser: $19 (is there a black one somewhere?)

*100ft total, dont need that much but its the smallest I can get off of Amazon

Not including tools (like crimper and cutout tool) I'm looking at $82 but you can knock off $31 if I choose not to sleeve (Not happening, clear case, way too long wires.... I'm sleeving)

If you're interested in seeing how this project progresses, I plan to put up a build log after picking up the case (possibly tomorrow)
