budget? <-- We need this @Beastmonte

what kind of work/editing? <-- He said multitasking and work/editing, which generally implies video editing and Adobe suite until more details are given.

mouse/keyborad/monitor needed? <-- Probably not part of the question but still good to clarify

what country? <-- We need this too, @Beastmonte

Join the Appleitionist cause! See spoiler below for answers to common questions that shouldn't be common!

Spoiler

Q: Do I have a virus?!
A: If you didn't click a sketchy email, haven't left your computer physically open to attack, haven't downloaded anything sketchy/free, know that your software hasn't been exploited in a new hack, then the answer is: probably not.

Q: What email/VPN should I use?
A: Proton mail and VPN are the best for email and VPNs respectively. (They're free in a good way)

Q: How can I stay anonymous on the (deep/dark) webzz???....

A: By learning how to de-anonymize everyone else; if you can do that, then you know what to do for yourself.

Q: What Linux distro is best for x y z?

A: Lubuntu for things with little processing power, Ubuntu for normal PCs, and if you need to do anything else then it's best if you do the research yourself.

Q: Why is my Linux giving me x y z error?

A: Have you not googled it? Are you sure StackOverflow doesn't have an answer? Does the error tell you what's wrong? If the answer is no to all of those, message me.

dont edit quotes, it confuses people since people dont bother to read in the quotes usually and tagging people in quotes doesnt work either

Anything that can run Windows, iOS, or Linux can and does multitask.

I know. Just want to clarify, what I mean is what build should I need for hell of multitasking and it has to run great. I hate slow PCs.

from the work you do and the budget you have I would suggest to wait for intel coffelake CPU. The cpus are out but the motherboard is insanely expensive now. Intel will release cheaper chipsets next year which may fit your budget. Ryzen 3 can fit your budget now, but wont be as good as the coffelake i3 since you do photoshop and video editing. Plus RAM price may come down during this period (not very likely but there's hope LOL).

For monitor and mouse/keyboard, I suggest you go 2nd hand. 500 is very little even for just the system.

For OS you definitely need to get it from kinguin reddit etc.

How 'bout Ryzen 5? Could it be better than Coffee lake for Ryzen 5?

ryzen 5 could do the job as well, however it does not have integrated GPU so you have to buy a separate one which will cost a lot. your budget wont allow it. you can however go 2nd hand for the case and GPU. if you can find good deals, a ryzen 5 system might work, but it probly will use up all 500 and leave no room for monitor and OS
