Why i laugh at articles about Apple

This dude in his first paragraph says

Bwahahaha like Samsung doesn't have phones with facial, iris, and finger print to log in. Now, 3D maping of a face? IPhone X might be the only SMARTPHONE that does this. I know Windows tablets and laptops already have it. BUT this guy also says

OMG hello, it's called WINDOWS HELLO!!! Windows already does this with facial, iris, fingerprint, pin, password, and drawing on a picture.

 

it's just so funny and laughable when people who don't know about tech try to write about tech but they just look silly. but for some reason they only pay attention to Apple press releases and apple crap and nothing else and spew nonsense. That's what's annoying. 

 

The dudes name who wrote the article is Chris Smith. he's like less then half right it seems to me.

I dont understand the Apple hate. I get the Microsoft hate and the Nvidia hate because those companies engage in shady monopolistic business practices which harms consumers and drowns competition, but Apple simply offers an alternative to windows laptops and PCs and android phones.

 

It gives you choices you wouldn't otherwise have. You can reject those choices, but theres nothing harmful about it. Apple gets shit for being expensive, but an iphone 8 plus isnt any more expensive than their samsung rivals. Even an iphone x is only slightly more expensive than a note 8. 

 

Without Apple phone tech would be more stagnant.

no, you're wrong, Apple has had constant issues with monopolistic practices for at least a decade

Steve Jobs was the driving force and the vision behind apple, they haven't really done groundbreaking stuff since, oh wait, they removed the headphone jack from phones. They have improved some existing things, sometimes by a good deal, but I'd be surprised if they weren't started under Jobs or on his roadmap

Basically, you're saying Apple is the shining beacon of good business practice?  I dunno whether to laugh or cry after reading this....

If Apple tries to monopolize it hasnt worked very well, since they are just a niche player with PCs and laptops and most phones sold are Android. Apple pushes android makers to stay competitive. 

 

Unlike microsoft and nvidia they mostly play a positive role, whether intentionally or not.

Dont get me wrong. Im not saying Apple is this wonderful benevolent company. Its cutthroat as its competitors are, and some of its fans can be annoyingly snobbish.  

 

Still, I do appreciate the fact they arent as generic and cookie cutter as the rest, and their products tend to be extremely well made. You get what you pay for. Im not willing to pay a premium for everything, but in some cases I am.
