Steelseries Rival 300 purchase

adithyay328

Hi guys! I had a question about the rival 300. Among the numerous upgrades I made this black Friday, my mouse has been upgraded to a rival 300. Now, other than the obvious learning curve with this new mouse, especially with the last 3 years being on a different mouse, I was worried about my left click. When I left click, I feel 2 tactile points; one where the button stops moving, and then one when the actual switch is actuated. I don't know if this is supposed to be how it is, especially due to my last mouse being membrane based, but it feels a bit weird. The right click is what I expected out of the switch, with there being 1, fluid motion and then the tactile bump. Is this expected, or is my mouse faulty. I have quite a bit of time available before becoming unable to get a refund and buy another rival 300, but I wanted to know early on. Thanks!

It seems that there are lots of reports of defects of that mouse. I've seen mostly the mouse registering two clicks but not having two tactile points.

Think I should return it as defective? They pay for shipping.
