Small form factor

Hi I am looking for some help.  I'm basically looking for a small form factor PC.  I am not a gamer as I am only using the PC for music production and internet

Is there any small form factor more powerful than a NUC that has thunderbolt?  I need thunderbolt for my audio interface.  The gigabyte brick looked promising but I didn't see any processors that were faster than i7 7500

According to this (somewhat dated) article from PCWorld, the Intel NUC is pretty much top of the line when it comes to mini-PC.

 

I've heard that Zotac makes some very good Mini-PC's but most of theirs are barebone, so you'd have to buy storage and memory.

Yesterday I received thermal paste in the mail to replace my goofed application with my r7 cooler. (Stock paste on cooler) So I took off the cooler and applied new thermal Paste. I used hand sanitizer as per Linus's video to remove the previous. I put the cooler back on and it would not post. It stayed running with fans and lights on, but no display output and and the dram error light on. So I moved the ram one by one to each of the slots to see if that would work. It didn't. I then unscrewed the cooler and lifted it up with some force and the CPU came out with it. I now have two bent pins. Nice. 

 

Progress update, I fixed the pins and put the paste back on, it was a nice application. Now the thing won't do anything when I press the power button, I've tricked it with the good ol screw driver short, but it no worki. 

 

So what do I do now? ?

 

I've dm'd the contact listed below and shot LMG an email if they could help fix, but I've received no replies or views of it. So how about the community, how TF do I fix my baby?

Yeah Zotac is crazily overpriced. 

I can build an itx with my chosen specs

I was just checking to see if I could build something even smaller.  Or buy

 

I don't need it to be a (k) cpu.  A 7700 should suffice.  I am sure we will see much more 8gen SFF computers soon.

Hand sanitizer? Just by isopropyl alcohol. Also I'm not sure why you think emailing LTT would be a smart idea. That's not what those email addresses are for, it's what the forum is for.

Oh God, I thought I was posting in the main topic for some reason! Sorry man, I will cry myself to sleep somewhere else ?
