Temperature difference from SLi spacing

Wondering if 3 slot and 4 slot spacing will result in significant difference in temperature.

 

I am currently using 4 slot spacing, but it is about time I have upgraded my system and motherboard I am looking at is 3 slot spacing.

 

Would like to get some input before I make the purchase.

Spacing should at least be three slots, although the top card will still experience a temperature increase regardless.

There would be almost no difference between 3 and 4 slot, assuming your GPUs are dual slot.

The difference between 2 and 3 is a lot more noticeable, if possible use this config.

I'd do 3 at a minimum but if do 4 if I could. Like the look.

I have 3 slot and still see an increase of 10c on the top card. Not sure if 4 slot would make that any better but plan accordingly.

Bump,

 

The reason I am asking is because the graphics cards I have are 2.5 slot cards, so moving from my current 4 slot spacing (1.5 slot space between the cards) to 3 slot spacing (0.5 slot space between the cards) would result in less space for airflow.

Well it would work. Gonna  be bad airflow regardless. But its better than nothing.
