Prototypes / Engineering Samples

Anyone aware of rare prototype video cards?  i'm mainly interested in hearing about prototype models from the designers and not Add-In Board companies.

 

3dfx Voodoo 5 6000 is a well known rare model that seemed to almost if not only exist as a prototype.

 

Anyone familiar with prototyping hardware even?  I'd like to hear / discuss about anything anyone knows about this stuff

I'm not really interested in discussing Add-In Board rare cards such as the ASUS MARS or anything... just interested in rare Models from the big Designers, ATI / AMD / NVIDIA / 3DFX / etc

I do a bit of doing of case designs for the SFF market, but it's small scale (may eventually be able to sell it) in joint with a company that works through my school. That's it - nothing related to the actual components, but still a bit of prototyping.

Edit: I've only been doing this for half a year, so I'm still a novice, but I'm free to questioning.

Nah that's just the Nvidia vacuum/dustblower/whatever. If you want another, go look at the 7900 GX2 and the Quadro FX 4500 x2. Both of which are relatively hard to find, I'd consider them rare due to the fact that Nvidia obsoleted both in a few months with the 7950 GX2.
