Intel has not released their Vroc key yet so raiding the cards will be difficult. Also, you may not be getting x16 to the card if you have 2 graphics cards. If you put 6 m.2 drives in there then you will be using 24 lanes solely for m.2. Also, the m.2 connectors on the motherboard sometimes goes through the chipset which means the drive will not get its full potential. Linus just released a video on this.

If you have the 7740X (I assume you have this one based on your profile) You have only 16 CPU lanes (compared to 44 lanes on the i9s) So it's basically impossible to get any kind of SSD raid with adequate performance on this cpu (1GPU will eat every single lane this questionable x299 cpu has to offer).

I'd cancel that CPU and get at least a 7900X if you are serious about that NVMe raid. 7820X has only 28 lanes (fine by me as I don't plan any nvme madness :) ) and when you want to use that many SSDs you will use 24 lanes of that 28 available and let's not forget that gpu :)

Replacing a CPU is an easy thing especially on x299 because the backplate is mounted to the mobo so there's no need to remove the mobo from the case. Also if you'll stick to that 7820X I don't think it makes sense to go for that 6xSSD raid thing :/
