Story about alone mecha soldier that when translated into game it will be a mecha game with tons of customization, unique upgrade paths, survival, and even complex tuning mechanic. It should be like Armored Trooper Votoms but with more modern touches and less coincidence.

Look back over existing games before the graphical generation of the current console... take notes on what made them great.

Stick away from the Standard 3 cliche's

- Personal motive (Save your girlfriend/ family)

- Global Motive (Save the world)

- Die Hard Motive (Save your girlfriend Save the World)

Go back to the Routes of what games are made for... Telling a Story.

Something Simplistic like a love-story or the life of someone with an illness is always a good idea, but you need to make the player connect to the character without making them out to be annoying and irritable.

I suggest looking at games like "Golden Sun" and other things that most people overlook these days.

A good idea is an insight in the horrors of war, Rather than glorifying it like "Call of Duty" has done over the years... make the player connect to a group of characters what the player looses by the end... like a "Saving private Ryan" thing.

Character artist in the Games industry.
