That is honestly a high budget for those games. I would recommend a Ryzen 1300X with a 1050ti. That is what I have and can push AAA games at 60fps.

Right now, I would go with Ryzen for the performance per dollar.

I could do an Intel build as well if you want so you can compare :)

I can second this. My Ryzen works really well and overclocks fairly easily. They also come with good stock coolers. The only problem is that RAM speds are not optimized yet so my 2800mhz stick can only run at 2400mhz.

Not sure of the board quality on the motherboard.

Dropped the SSD down to a 120GB which might be cutting it a bit close.

It's fine even with my 1300X. I can stream while gaming at 60fps. Granted I stream at the lowest resolution and quality but it still streams. However I would go with Lurick's amd build if I was you.

The intel will be fine also but personally the AMD will have more upgrade ability down the road.

AMD announced that they will keep supporting AM4 till at least 2020. By 2019 intel will probably move on.

Also, AM4 already has a 8 core 16 thread processor. There are no guarantees Intel will add the same down the road. Another reason, there needs to be competition against Intel. Without it Intel could over price their CPUs and people would be forced to buy them since there are no other good processors out there.

They are planning a mainstream 8 core 16 thread processor for the Ice Lake or whatever it is after Coffee Lake but I think that's Z390 (because screw consumers :D )

Well, it's Intel so I'm not surprised.
