Does this $700 PC setup need any changes?

AniJan

Build:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4bKTkT

I've settled with this build since it seems pretty good, but I want to ask you the community if there should be any changes or suggestions that should be made. Additionally, I'll need a wireless adapter added to the list.

Uses will include:

-Animation

-Art

-Gaming

-Internet use

-School work

Additional information:

Location - Sacramento, California

Budget: $730 (maximum is $800)

Thanks in advance.

Pretty good budget setup, youire forgetting an SSD and maybe a cooler if you want to do some overclocking.

Good machine! Though the consensus is that the "X" series Ryzen chips are a waste of money. You can overclock non "X" chips up to and sometimes even PAST "X" series chips.

RAM prices are all over the place, lol.

The cheapest 2666 RAM is like $20 more for a 2x8 kit compared to 3000 or 3200 memory.

Of course that was yesterday so who knows what's changed xD

I wonder when the RAM and GPU prices will be back to normal :/

I'd recommend a 1200 instead of the 1300X, since you are going B350 you can overclock it manually (and it won't give you any extra headroom)

Frostbite (White build PC)

Considering how the situation has been for the last year, that's actually a fairly amazing deal on the GPU. A high end 570 4GB for $190. Just says how messed up the GPU market is.

Getting the 1600 is worth more than 16GB RAM. And by using a single 8GB stick, you can easily upgrade.

Edit: should also mention that the mingiro has Freesync

How do you know that it's good? Have you tested it with an actual load tester? Or does "it hasn't exploded yet" equal a good PSU?

We have a thread about the PSU
