Why does Facebook not show comments for some posts.

So I’ve come across this many many times, usually on mobile but it does occur on desktop, I’ll see a post that has comments on it and I’ll even see a comment if it was my friend who commented on it but when I go to read the comments none show up. It clearly said 7.2k comments and I could see my friend who tagged my other friend in the post but I can’t read any of the comments. And when I click it the comment my friend made I can’t even see even tho I can when it’s just viewed in my news feed.

 

i even clicked on the picture of the post and then clicked comments under that but it says oops there are no comments.

 

When this happens on Facebook on desktop even when I unfilter the comments none still show up or like three will but the other thousands won’t.

 

is this a known bug or issue or is this just me?

thats probably a feature to obscure certain posts, facebook is evil

Pretty sure it's mostly peoples privacy settings (e.g. only friends or friends of friends) can see their posts etc.
